At the EICMA 2026 expo, Honda unveiled its newest compact adventure scooter, the ADV125, designed to handle both city streets and off-road adventures. The model specifically targets European urban commuters and riders with an A1 license due to its accessible specifications.
The ADV125 features a 125cc liquid-cooled eSP+ SOHC four-valve engine producing 12.5 PS at 8,750 rpm and 11.7 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm—identical to the engine found in the PCX125.
Performance and Fuel Economy
The scooter delivers quick acceleration while maintaining a comfortable cruising speed of 90 km/h. Its official top speed is 97 km/h. Fuel efficiency stands at roughly 47.6 km/l under WMTC testing.
With an 8.1-liter fuel tank, the ADV125 offers an estimated range of 385 km on a full tank. Performance enhancements include Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), eSP+ technology, PGM-FI fuel injection, a brushless ACG starter, and an Idling Stop System.
Design and Build
The ADV125 showcases bold, muscular styling consistent with Honda’s broader ADV lineup. Notable design elements include a substantial windscreen, twin aggressive headlamps with integrated DRLs, a step-up seat, and an upward-sweeping exhaust.
Customers can choose from four color schemes: Pearl Falcon Grey, Pearl Cool White, Mat Cynos Gray Metallic, and Mat Pearl Diaspro Red. The scooter’s frame is a steel tubular underbone structure paired with telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks.
Front and rear wheels measure 14 inches and 13 inches, respectively, fitted with 110/80 and 130/70 Pirelli/Tourance tires. Braking is handled by 240 mm and 220 mm discs at the front and rear, served by Nissin calipers on both ends.
Technology and Accessories
The ADV125 includes a 5-inch TFT display for clear information presentation. Honda’s RoadSync connectivity system enables smartphone integration for messaging, navigation, and media control while keeping the rider focused on the road.
Additional features comprise a Honda SMART key for keyless operation and a USB Type-C charging port. Optional accessories include heated grips, an alarm buzzer, a body cover, a rear carrier, and a 40-liter top box.
Storage solutions include a 29-liter underseat compartment and a 2-liter glove box. The scooter’s block-pattern tubeless tires, 165 mm ground clearance, and 780 mm seat height ensure adaptability for uneven terrain and easy maneuverability at low speeds.
