Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility brand VIDA has unveiled the UBX, a new electric motorcycle that previews an urban electric motorcycle with a range of over 150 kms. The UBX is an evolution of the earlier UBEX concept and features USD forks, a digital display, and more road-ready detailing.

New Design and Features

The UBX has a more developed design compared to the earlier UBEX concept, with revised bodywork and more detailed components. It features a sculpted silver-finished swingarm and gold-finished upside-down forks. The motorcycle also has a compact front end, raised tail, and exposed frame sections.

The UBX retains an aggressive naked-bike profile, with red upper bodywork carrying large VIDA lettering, and grey side panels featuring contour-map-style graphics. A central projector lamp sits within a distinctive illuminated outline, and the motorcycle has a long single-piece seat with a raised pillion section.

Technical Specifications

The UBX has a substantial finned enclosure that occupies the centre and lower portion of the motorcycle, with sculpted side panels carrying “Air Duct” markings. A motor assembly is visible near the swingarm pivot, with chain drive to the rear wheel. However, VIDA has not disclosed the battery capacity, motor output, cooling-system specifications, or charging arrangement.

The UBX features USD front forks, a rear monoshock, and alloy wheels with road-oriented tyres. Disc brakes are fitted at both ends, and a front ABS tone ring is visible. The photographs also show a belly pan, rear tyre hugger, and detailed swingarm construction.

A large colour instrument display shows speed, battery charge, estimated remaining range, and a “Custom 2” setting. The switchgear includes a mode button, parking control, and cruise-control-style markings. The display shows 134 km of remaining range at 80% charge, suggesting roughly 168 km on a full charge.

The UBX is expected to launch sometime in 2027.
