Jeep’s 2027 Wrangler JL-2A commemorates the civilian Willys CJ-2A introduced in July 1945, marking the 11th release in the Twelve 4 Twelve series. The special edition is available for Canadian customers next month with an MSRP of CDN$6,995. It is built on the Rubicon platform and serves as a direct link to the model that established the Civilian Jeep lineage.
Period-accurate styling details
Exterior modifications focus on colour and period-specific details. The two-door version comes in Gobi, while the four-door is offered in dark green styled as ’41. Bright White, Joose, and Sting Gray are also options, with Ghost arriving later. The exterior includes 17-inch retro wheels finished in Joose that reference the Sunset Red wheels on the original CJ-2A. These wheels are paired with 33-inch BFGoodrich KO2 All-Terrain tires.
Orange tow hooks, body-colour fender flares, and a matching three-piece hardtop complete the look. Dark Metallic Grey grille accents and a plaque on the rear swing gate recreate artwork from the CJ-2A dashboard data plate, including agricultural and industrial scenes.

Interior heritage touches
Inside, the cabin uses a Wrangler-first combination of Nappa Heritage Tan and Bison Brown. Heritage Tan Nappa leather covers the seats, while Bison Brown appears on the door panels, lower instrument panel, and centre console. Desert Orange contrast stitching visually connects to the exterior wheel treatment.
Jeep incorporated several Willys-Overland references, including a satin chrome shifter medallion and heritage-themed HVAC vent graphics. The Convenience Group is standard, adding remote start, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a universal garage door opener. A front TrailCam with an integrated washer is also included.
