Alpine will showcase a 1:1 sculpture of the new A110 at the Paris Motor Show this October. The design is recognizable as an A110, but appears longer, leaner, and more supercar-like. The A110 will debut in 2027 as an EV, but Alpine hints that hybrid engines will fit the chassis.
The full-scale exhibit previews the look of the new Alpine A110, with a design that reveals the shape and contours of the aluminum skin, while leaving some mystery. Alpine says the tension visible in the blue veil is meant to evoke lightness and aerodynamics, with inspiration from Concorde, the supersonic passenger jet.
Design Evolution
The V-shaped nose and dual light setup are still present, and though the sculpture indicates the new car will be leaner and possibly lower and longer, it’s still unmistakably an A110. The design evolution is accompanied by a powertrain change, as the A110 goes electric.
At the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, Alpine demonstrated the new hardware in a stretched version of the current A110, called the A110 Future. This includes a dual-motor rear axle with active torque vectoring and clever wheel-slip control, which should make the EV even more agile than the current model.

Powertrain Details
The new A110 will have two smaller batteries placed at each end of the chassis, rather than one massive battery under the floor. This keeps the floorpan low and the driving position and roof, too, and helps Alpine achieve a 40:60 front to rear weight distribution. An 800-volt electric system will ensure fast charging.
Alpine’s intentions regarding combustion power are also unclear, although the platform is designed to accommodate an internal combustion engine.
Future Plans
Alpine’s CEO, Philippe Krief, has said that a decision on whether to make a petrol model will be made by the end of 2026. If approved, it could take around two years to reach production.
Krief revealed this summer that the A110 is being put through US crash tests, suggesting that Alpine may still be considering a US launch.
