The Maintenance General Mechanic performs skilled work in the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service and repair of mechanical, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing and structural systems. Career progression as a vehicle mechanic with the New Zealand Army is aligned to the National Certificate in Motor industry (Automotive Heavy Engineering) with strand in Road transport (level 4).
